File Manager in cPanel
The file manager function lets you access all the files you current have on your account.
Once clicked, you will be redirected to a page listing all your files as shown below.
Explained below are the icons you will find in the file manager:
New file – this will create a blank file in your account.
New Folder – lets you create a new directory in your account.
Copy – allows you to copy a file into another folder.
Move File – lets you transfer a file from one folder to another.
Upload - allows you to upload files from your PC directly to your file manager.
Download – lets you download a file in your hosting account.
Delete - deletes a file
Rename - lets you rename a file
Edit/Code Editor – lets you edit file contents/codes
HTML Editor – allows you to edit HTML files only.

View – lets you view the contents of a file
Extract - lets you extract zip files directly from the file manager
Compress - lets you create a zip file of file/s you select directly from the file manager.
