Create Email Accounts in cPanel
In this short tutorial, lets take a look at creating email address is cPanel. There are two advantages to creating a new email address that matches your domain name:
- Professionalism – You appear more professional than you would if you’re using a free email like Gmail or HotMail
- More control – You have full control over your mail quota, settings, and mail redirection / forwarding
First, login to your cPanel account and look for the “Mail” tab, which contains several important features.
Clicking on the circled icon Email Accounts lets you set up and configure your email accounts for the domain.
The next screen will show you a form wherein you can setup an email account. It will ask for the email you want to use, as well as the password and the storage capacity you want the email to have. There is also an indicator regarding the strength of password you want to use. If you have multiple domains or have a subdomain in your account, the dropdown box will contain those items.
You can also find the list of email accounts you have already set up for this account as shown below.
After clicking the Create button while creating an account, the next screen gives you the option to either tie it with a mail client such as Outlook by clicking Yes..
If you decided to not tie it up with a mail client by clicking No, you will get back to the first screen where the email you just created has been added.
